It will soon be only 8 weeks until I leave the country with my parents on my trip to, first England, then Kenya and Tanzania in Africa. While I am in Kenya, I will be staying in and helping at Sigotti Community Centre and orphanage. This is near Kisumu in western Kenya. We will be there for three months. To get ready, our whole family have been raising money to help the community centre. The money will go towards building a health clinic. Just a few days ago my family and friends have bought 2 android tablets that we will be leaving with them in November. The least fun part about getting ready has been all the injections that we have had to get to stay healthy while we are there. Some of them were TB, Typhoid, Small Pox, Yellow Fever and Rabies. OW! We got about 8 shots.
Well goodbye for now. I will post some more news in a few weeks - and then follow my journey while I am away!
Great choice for your background Gavin. I agree that the injections were not too nice! I am looking forward to reading more of your postings, and hopefully seeing some photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat start to your blog! Can't wait to hear more and more. Yes, pictures would be a great idea! Can't wait to see you in a few weeks...Heather
